The founders are NTU students Lin Yu-Chin and Jane Chin-You, who set up a social networking site called \"Dcard\" as part of their creative entrepreneurship program at the University of Taiwan, and discussed the feasibility of developing the site because they felt that most of their classmates were only making friends in the circle of their lives and didn't have the chance to get in touch with more people. 2011, when Dcard launched its services on the Internet, it was only open for registration by students of the University of Taiwan and the National Chengchi University, and then opened up registration for other universities gradually.
