Introduction

The full name of the SEER database is: Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program Website: https://seer.cancer.gov/SEER The tumors covered by the database are classified into 9 categories: breast tumors, colon and rectal tumors, other digestive tumors, female Genital Tumors, Lymphatic and Hematologic Tumors, Male Genital Tumors, Respiratory Tumors, Urologic Tumors, and other as yet unidentified types. The data record includes the patient's registration number, personal information, primary site, tumor size, tumor code, treatment plan, and cause of death.

SEER database is a commonly used clinical public database, which contains a large number of clinical retrospective studies, easy to obtain data and open and free of charge, so it is favored by researchers, and the number of SCI articles using SEER database as a source of data is increasing year by year.

Registration Process

Registration Requirements

To request access to Research Plus data.You must use the same method as theInstitutional e-mail address (.edu, .gov, .org or work e-mail address)) The associated eRA Commons account logs in for user authentication.

About research data access

If you do not have access to an eRA Commons account or do not need access to other variables available in Research Plus Data, you can register for Research Data.

Users with access to research data only are not eligible to request specialized databases and cannot upgrade to Research Plus without an eRA Commons account or HHS PIV card.

We sent the registration request by selecting Request SEER Data on the https://seerdataaccess.cancer.gov/seer-data-access drop down page and entering our edu email.
